About Waykaro

Flights. You can search airlines between almost any two airports, compare what they cost, and pay for the ticket here, with the fare, the Waykaro service fee and the card processing charge itemised before you put a card number in. The ticket is issued by the airline and the booking reference comes to you by email.

We are built around journeys to, from and across Africa — the trips that are hardest to arrange from a distance and where having somebody to ask matters most — but the search itself is worldwide.

They are built, and they are not open. Waykaro will not put a hotel or a vehicle in front of you until a person has checked that the business is real, the listing is accurate and somebody answers when you arrive. We are onboarding and checking those partners in Liberia now, and they will appear when they are ready rather than when it would look good.

Owners write their own listings and upload their own photographs, but nothing appears publicly until Waykaro has reviewed it. The same goes for car rental companies. If the photographs are too dark to see the room, or the details do not add up, it goes back to the owner rather than live to you.

Reviews can only be left by someone with a genuine booking reference, so a listing cannot be talked up by people who never stayed there.

On a flight, Waykaro charges a service fee, shown as its own line before you pay. On a stay or a vehicle, Waykaro takes a commission from the business rather than adding it to your price.

Listing is free to set up and you keep control of your own rates and availability.
